What is GitHub Copilot?

GitHub Copilot is a cloud based generative AI tool , generative means it generates content based on the context you supply it, based on your IDE. It turns natural language prompts into coding suggestions and works across dozens of programming languages. GitHub Copilot can act as an “AI pair programmer” to assist someone new to the code base or it’s like having an assistant programmer to help you out, for someone who doesn’t understand all the nuances in the code base.
