December 6 Meetup Summary – Modern Database Best Practices

We wrapped up 2023 with one of our largest meetups ever at IBM in the RTP!
More than 130 technologists from all over the RTP region attended the December 6 event.
Brad Topol, Distinguished Engineer and Director of Open Technologies at IBM, delivered the first talk of the evening on WatsonX. He also offered attendees a free trial of WatsonX as well as a free hands-on lab.
Peter Zaitsez, Founder of Percona, delivered the second/featured talk on a highly relevant and applicable topic – “Modern Database Best Practices”. He also took 10-15 minutes of questions from attendees. Both were informative and extremely educational.
Our friends at IBM hosted the meetup and provided food and beverages to attendees. We would like to thank Brad and Sahdev for their hospitality and kindness.
The next ATO Research Triangle Park (RTP) meetup will take place Tuesday evening, January 16 at Marbles / the IMAX Theater in downtown Raleigh. Doors open at 6:00 pm ET and live programming begins at 6:30. Lots of swag will be given away and food and beverages will be made available. Details can be found here.
