Open Source 101 will focus on the processes and tools that form the foundation of open source, with the goal of providing every attendee a basic understanding that will enable participation. The event is perfect for existing technology professionals new to open source, those wanting a refresher, and computer science/technology students from regional universities and colleges.
Registration will officially open Tuesday, January 3 and the Call for Speakers is open now through Wednesday, December 20. Seating will be limited to just 500 attendees, and registration will be available on first-come first-served basis. The cost is just $10, to help cover lunch.
From the beginning our goal has been to provide world-class open source education and networking that is accessible. We feel this event will continue that tradition and benefit many people wanting to learn more.
