September 19 ATO Meetup – Biggest Ever at IBM!

The September 19 event was the most well attended meetup we’ve ever hosted at IBM!

More than 125 technologists from around the RTP region attended. The room was packed and additional space for more seating had to be created multiple times.

Brent Laster, DevOps Director, R&D at SAS & President and Chief Trainer at Tech Skills Transformations, was the featured speaker and he delivered a world-class presentation that included demos. The featured topic was GitHub Copilot.

Here are Brent’s slides from the meetup.

Brent also gave away and signed 10 copies of his latest book Learning GitHub Actions to lucky attendees. Nearly everyone left with a book or cool ATO swag (hats. shirts, stickers).

Our friends at IBM hosted the meetup and provided food and beverages. Special thanks to the great Sahdev Zala and his team for being such good human beings.

The next All Things Open event is the annual All Things Open conference taking place October 15-17 in downtown Raleigh at the Raleigh Convention Center. Tickets are on sale now and scholarships and discounts are available.
