Mark Heid has been working in analytics and data science for the past decade – including IBM Watson and more recently Fidelity Investments. Mark is currently leading several cross-functional data science teams in the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology to conceptualize, create, test and deploy innovative AI-driven solutions for the Firm.
During a career spanning several decades, Mark’s background has been mostly in product management, with significant tours-of-duty in engineering, business development, product marketing and sales. Mark has an MBA in quantitative marketing from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in biomedical engineering and computer science from Northwestern University.
He lives in downtown Raleigh with his wife, teenage daughter and a cat named Wesley. Mark likes traveling a lot – either to urban environments steeped in cultural history or to remote natural areas for mountaineering, backpacking or car-camping.
